Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Lecture 2007

The bus route/stops and the program for Ms. Cotton's lecture are as follows:

BEFORE:
--Route #13 will divert from its normal route to pickup at the Lifelong Center, 119 W. Court St. at 3:55 p.m., proceed to GIAC, 318 N. Albany St., for a 4:00 pickup and then on to the Green St. bus stop near the Tompkins County Library. There, passengers will change to the #30 bus and proceed to the drop off at the Statler Hotel on East Ave. on the Cornell campus. Sage Chapel is a short walk from this bus stop, right next to the McGraw Clock Tower. There will be a TCAT Supervisor at the Green St. stop to coordinate everything.

--Route #15 will divert from its normal route to pickup at the Southside Community Center, 305 S. Plain St. at 3:55 p.m., and proceed to the Green St. bus stop near the Tompkins County Library; again passengers will transfer to the #30 bus to the Statler.

DURING:
--The event will begin at 4:45 p.m. After an introduction of Dorothy Cotton, her lecture, "Lessons from the Past, Visions for the Future", will proceed. It will be followed by a question and answer session and an informal reception (with light refreshments) in Sage Chapel, where people will be able to meet and greet Ms. Cotton. Everything should wrap up by approximately 6:15, so that people can be ready for the return bus trip by approximately 6:30. As there was earlier, a TCAT Supervisor will be on hand.

AFTER:
--The return trip will begin at the Sage Hall bus stop, which is across the street from the Statler bus stop. Either the #30 bus or the #10 bus (the #10 runs every ten minutes) will take people down to the bus stop at the corner of Seneca and Tioga, where there will be both #13 and #15 buses waiting to return passengers to GIAC and Lifelong, or Southside, respectively, Again, a TCAT Supervisor will be there to coordinate everything.
