mer Bajwa, is serving as the Interim Muslim Chaplain at Cornell University. He received his M.A. in Near Eastern Studies, with a specialization in Islamic Studies, from Cornell University's Department of Near Eastern Studies, where he also served as the Outreach Coordinator. He also holds a M.S. in Communication from Cornell and a B.A. in English Literature and Rhetoric from Binghamton University. His interests include Islam in America, Islam and the media, and transnational Muslim and non-Muslim religious and intellectual networks. He is completing his pastoral studies in Hartford Seminar's Islamic Chaplaincy Program, and he has been engaged in religious service, social activism, and educational outreach for the past 7 years.
